Go to Settings, tap Account and Admins, and tap Invite Admin Enter their name and email address Tap Send Invite

Go to Networks and tap the Point of Sale network Tap Edit Enable Wireless and/or Wired* Network Access according to your device type Enter a Network Name (SSID) and Wi-Fi Password and select a Security Type Optionally, tap the Broadcast SSID toggle to allow the hotspot to broadcast the Point of Sale network SSID. This is disabled by default for security purposes Optionally, enable the Intra Isolation toggle to prevent communication between devices on the same network. This option is disabled by default Optionally, apply Network Security Intrusion Prevention Settings (recommended) and Content Restrictions. Click Save *If you have a wired point of sale device, contact your service provider to complete set up. Once Wired Network Access is enabled, ALL wired devices connected to the GigaSpire must first be approved in alerts in CommandWorx app before they will connect
Go to Networks. Tap the Staff Network Tap Edit and enable Network Access Choose the Network Configuration: Shared Password or Individual Passwords Shared Password: all employees connect to the network using the same password. Individual Staff profiles are not available. Enter a Network Name (SSID) and Wi-Fi Password and select a Security Type Individual Passwords: Complete individual password set up on the Staff tile on home screen. Optionally, apply Network Security Intrusion Prevention Settings (recommended), Content Restrictions and Network Access Hours. Click Save.

When enabled, tap the Anti-Spam Consent dropdown to select the Anti-spam Consent type. Enter the Anti-spam Consent webpage URL or plain text. Please check if Anti-spam Consent is legally required in your locality Tap the Terms of Service dropdown to select the Terms of Service type. Enter the Terms of Service webpage URL complete with https or enter text. Enter Button Text: this is the button customers will tap on to connect to WiFi Tap Save Tap Branding Tap Upload to select a Logo image Enter a Background Color, Font Color, Primary Button Color and button Font Color hex code or tap the color block and select a color Tap Save Tap Network Access Hours Tap the Network Hours dropdown, and select a schedule: Always On: network is always available Every Day: network is available for the same hours every day Custom: network availability can be customized with a variety of time periods throughout the week Tap Save Optionally, apply Network Security Intrusion Prevention Settings (recommended), Content Restrictions Tap Customer Portal Visitors Tap Edit Select the Login Retention dropdown and choose how often users must re-enter their credentials to connect. To monitor the frequency of their visits to your business, select 1 Day Tap Save To receive a list of customers who accessed the Customer Portal Tap Customer Portal Visitors. Go to Networks, tap the + button, and tap Add Network Enter a Network Name (SSID) and Wi-Fi Password Select the broadcasting WiFi Bands and a Security Type Tap to enable or disable the following options:Broadcast SSID: allows devices to discover the Wi-Fi networkIntra-Isolation: prevents devices on the Custom network from connecting to each other. Only enable if all devices connect to the Internet independently and don’t communicate with other devices on the networkInter-Isolation: prevents devices on the Custom network from seeing or being seen by devices on other networks, cannot be disabledTap Save
WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) is an encryption protocol for Wi-Fi network securityIt is recommended to use the most recent version of WPA that is supported by connected devices WPA2 was ratified in 2004 and will be supported by nearly all devices WPA3 was ratified in 2018 and will be supported by modern devices
Go to Networks, tap the Network you want to modify, and tap Edit Change the Network Name and/or Wi-Fi Password Tap Save
Tap the toggle of the following restrictions to enable or disable: Safe Search: filters out potentially offensive and inappropriate search results YouTube Restrictions: filters out potentially mature and inappropriate video content Block DNS over HTTPS: prevents resolving encrypted DNS requests Does not prevent encrypted website traffic (e.g., https://abc.xyz) Block iCloud Private Relay: prevents routing web traffic through Apple’s iCloud service Tap Content Restrictions Tap the dropdown menu to select a preset grouping of content categories Alternatively, tap the toggle of individual categories to enable restricting that type of content Tap Applications Search for specific mobile applications Tap the mobile application to set restrictions Block: total restriction Always allow: no restriction Allow for: restricted after a set amount of usage Tap the X to remove the mobile application restriction Tap Websites Enter a website URL and tap the + button to set restrictions Tap Block or Always Allow Tap the X to remove the website restriction
A list of website URLs that have been designated as trusted and will not be monitored for cyberthreats You should only add URLs to the Trusted List when you are confident that they are safe
Tap Trusted Websites To add a website, tap the + button, enter the website URL, and tap Save Website URLs in the Trusted List will not be monitored for cyberthreats You should only add URLs when you are confident that they are safe
Selecting a Device bypasses Network Security by disabling packet inspection of its network traffic Skipped Devices will not trigger any
Tap Skipped Devices To select or deselect a Device, tap the checkbox next to a Device
The Intrusion Prevent System provides options that enhance cybersecurity monitoring and protection

Creating a Terms of Service helps protect your business from legal liability by outlining acceptable and unacceptable use of your Wi-Fi Customers will be required to accept your Terms of Service
The period of time that a user can connect to the Customer Portal without re-entering their information
Open the Staff tab in the bottom menu Tap the “+” (plus) icon at the top of the screen Add a profile image, name, and email address Choose a trust level: Hightrust: staff can connect new devices freelyLowtrust: new devices require approval in the app Tap Save to create the profile Note: CommandWorx supports up to 20 staff profiles Delete a Profile Go to Staff, tap a Staff Profile, and tap Edit Tap Delete Staff and confirm deletion

CommandWorx issues Alerts for: Client and mesh device connectivity Internet connectivity Content restrictions Network security events Each Alert shows a brief description and the date/time it occurred. You will receive a Security Alert when SmartBiz has automatically blocked a cybersecurity threat You do not need to take any immediate action, but it’s recommended that you use the information in the Alert to investigate what triggered the threat and take any further action to prevent another occurrence
Review the details of the Security Alert to better understand what is triggering the AlertIf you trust the website that is triggering the Alert, you can tap Add to Trusted List to stop scanning traffic from that URLIf you are concerned about the website or associated device, it’s recommended that you disconnect or power off the device and seek additional help
CommandWorx shows key info for each connected device, including: Device name and type (phone, computer, etc.) Connection status (online/offline) and connection type (WiFi or Ethernet) Usage details like data usage, download/upload speeds, and recent speed tests Controls, such as pausing Internet access or sharing the device across networks Advanced info, including wireless protocol, radio band, IP address, MAC address, vendor, and model
You can add a device using WiFi credentials or WPS: Add using WiFi credentials Go to Devices and tap + Select the Network you want the device to join On the device you’re adding, enter the Network SSID and password to connect Add using WPS Go to Devices and tap + Select the Network, then tap Connect to enable WPS for 2 minutes Press the WPS button on the device you’re adding Add a Point of Sale device via WPS Go to Networks and open the Point of Sale network Tap Connect Device via WPS to enable WPS Press the WPS button on the POS device
When you plug in a new wired device, CommandWorx pauses it until you approve it. To approve: Open the alert: A security alert appears when a new wired device connectsTap View DeviceSelect the device: Wired devices stay paused until manually approved. Choose the device you want to allow Approve it: Review the device details, then tap Approve Device and confirm
To rename a device: Go to Devices Tap the device you want to rename Tap Edit Enter the new Name and tap Save
Go to Networks and tap Network Map under Shortcuts
To reboot your equipment in CommandWorx: Go to Networks Tap the Equipment tab Select your Gateway or Mesh Satellite Tap Reboot, then tap Yes, Reboot to confirm
Network Resilience keeps your business online during an outage by: Using a secondary internet connection (like a mobile hotspot) Automatically switching to the backup if the primary goes down (about 90 seconds) Switching back to the primary once it’s restored (about 90 seconds) A backup device must stay powered on and onsite for failover to work
You can use any device that provides a WiFi connection as your backup, including: A cellular hotspot (MiFi/Jetpack) A smartphone with hotspot capability A nearby WiFi router with its own separate internet connection SmartBiz also supports a wired secondary connection—contact your service provider to see if this option is available
Go to Networks, tap on Network Resilience, tap on Select a Different Failover Device Tap a different Failover Device SSID, input its Wi-Fi credentials, and tap Connect to Hotspot
